Headgear - defy wind, weather and bad hair days
No one would go golfing without appropriate footwear. So why go without appropriate headgear? After all, the head is much more sensitive than the feet. Experienced golf fans know this and protect themselves with a cap, visor, hat or beanie, depending on the weather. They come in many variations, styles and colors.
The choice of headgear for golfing depends on the season and weather as well as your own preferences. On summer days, it is important to protect your head and therefore your circulatory system from overheating in the sun. When it's cold and windy, wind-repellent and warming headwear is recommended.
Golf caps: Golf caps are peaked caps made of fabric that are very popular in summer and in the transitional period. They protect the head and hair from temperatures as well as wind and light rain. The visor reduces glare for the eyes when the sun is shining.
Golf visors: Similar to golf caps, but open in the head area. This looks elegant and fashionable. It also gets less warm underneath than under closed headgear, and long hair can fall over the edge of the visor as a plait or ponytail and move freely.
