With a golf trolley, things run particularly smoothly on the golf course
What is a trolley and who needs it anyway? The first question is easy to answer: a trolley (also known as a cart or caddie) is a trolley that is used to push or pull a golf bag around the golf course. The second question is more difficult and can only be answered individually. If you are in very good shape and only play for fun in your free time or play a short round of golf here and there, you are more likely to do without a trolley and carry your golf equipment in a carry bag or stand bag yourself. However, as soon as you regularly play 18 holes to steadily improve your handicap or if you are playing at tour level, a trolley becomes indispensable. The reason for this is that no one who wants to perform excellently can carry a heavy bag for miles on end. This simply wastes too much energy and concentration. In addition, top performers often have so many accessories and therefore such heavy bags that they can no longer be transported properly without a trolley. Unmotorized golf trolleys
Unmotorized trolleys are trolleys with two or three wheels; special variants have four wheels. With the exception of many tour bags, all standard bags can be transported with any trolley. Cheaper trolleys in this category have a frame made of steel or aluminum, while more expensive models are made of very durable and torsion-resistant titanium. A distinction is made between pull and push trolleys.
Pull trolley: Is called a "pull trolley" in German, has two wheels and, as the name suggests, is pulled. The advantages are low rolling resistance and the lowest price level of all trolleys. One disadvantage may be orthopaedic problems in the arm-shoulder area and the lumbar spine, as the strain on these areas is increased during pulling movements. For people without these pre-existing conditions, however, the pull trolley may be the first choice.
Push trolley: Means "push trolley". Thanks to its three wheels, it offers very good ground contact and is particularly easy to maneuver. It also offers better conditions than a push trolley for people with orthopaedic pre-loads on the shoulder joint or lumbar spine. Most models also have additional features such as brakes, scorecard, ball and bottle holders and much more. The prices are higher than for most pull-along trolleys.
