Layers for Men – Perfect Insulation in Low Temperatures
Men's golf layers are quite similar to sweatshirts and pullovers, but they differ from these in key aspects. While the latter usually form the outermost layer of clothing, layers in the so-called onion principle are typically the middle layer between base layers and the outer shell (usually a hardshell or softshell jacket). That's why they are often called midlayers.
While the base layer wicks away sweat from the body and the golf jacket protects against wind and weather, the golf layers worn between these layers for men have the task of insulating against external cold and at the same time transporting body moisture further outward through their breathable pores. The goal is to create a consistently dry and warm feeling.

Men's golf layers are made from many different materials. In addition to fleece fabrics and synthetic fibers, merino wool and down are also suitable for this purpose.
Fleece layers made of polyester or polyamide: These two synthetic fibers absorb moisture, are lightweight, durable, easy to care for, and wrinkle-resistant. Thus, they are ideal for use in men's golf layers. Polyamide has the advantage over polyester that it hardly absorbs odors.
